    GREASE
that is one of my all-time favorites.
I was 15 when it came out and I must have paid to see it 20 times
even dated a boy I didn't like just so he could pay my way into the movies!!!!

  4. WOW, It's been a long time but I do remember "I'm A Fool To Care" by Joe Barry. Man that was a really big hit. Do you remember his Mother who constantly shook her head back and forth?? I never did find out what type of ailment she had that caused her to do that.

But here is another memory for you. This one may be very hard for you to remember. One of the movies I listed above was "Once Upon A Time In The West." Do you know where the first time was that I saw that movie ?? It was with YOU at the drive inn in Galliano. I'll never forget it. I've watched that movie several times siense then and I always think about that first time I saw it with you. I don't remember why you and I went to the drive inn just you and I but I do remember you and I watching it. And we both really enjoyed that movie a lot. (And I still believe the drive inn had the BEST hot dogs and chili I have EVER eaten.) I wish I had the receip for THAT chili.

There are some of the movies ya'll listed that I also enjoyed:
Butterfly Effect, Grease, The Changeling, The Exorcist, The Village, Gone With The Wind, Saturday Night Fever, Urban Cowboy.

Ronnie, I also like all the music you listed. And then some. But I knew there would be too many to list them all.

Lilly, I'm quite surprised you listed Bob Dylan. Not too many people your age has even heard of him. But I think he is one of the greatest. As for as Michael Jackson, of course I always enjoyed the jackson five's old music. Then when Michael broke out on his own I lost interest until he came out with "The Thriller" album. Then lost interest again until the very end of his fame. But I do fell he also was the best of the best for what he did.

Another movie I listed above which is a must see if you have never seen it is "Some Where In Time." It stars Jane Seymore, (not sure about this spelling, damn spell check) and Christopher Reeves before he did the Superman Movies. It's a love story that was very well done.

    That's it for now.
    L-U-A,
    Later,
    Peter

  5. Pete,
I have the recipe for JET Drive-INN chili
it is in one of my cookbooks from the Larose Civic Center
the cookbook is called Down the Bayou and the recipe makes a sh**t load of chili but it is supposed to be the actual recipe they used.
    here it is:

JET DRIVE INN CHILI ( MAKES 350 SERVINGS)
    15 pounds onions
    6 stalks celery
    12 bell peppers
    2 bunches shallots
    2 bunches parsley
    2 heads garlic
    25 pounds ground beef
4 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste
3-4 (8 oz.) jars chili powder
    water
Grind vegetables. In a 30 quart pot, smother ground meat and drain grease. Brown tomato paste. Mix veggies to meat-tomato mixture.
Add 3 jars chili powder and water to fill pot. Cook for 4 or more hours
until thick. Taste after 2 hours and add more chili powder as needed.

    Enjoy!!!!!

  7. Hay Lilly, thanks for the recipe. I might give this a try if I can cut down the amount. Have you ever had or tried to cook it before ?? I do have my own recipe that cooks on H _ _ L of a mean chili. My chili is not made with ground meat like most other people use. I use a combination or soup meat and beef cubes and some times I'll use a roast. I do use most of the ingredients that you have listed but there are others that I use also like Paprika, Cumin and most importantly Mesa. In case you don't know, Mesa is a flower that is made with corn instead of wheat. I mix it with water and use it only in the last 20 minutes of cooking. It's real good in any type of mexican dish you cook. Thanks Again.

YEA, Ronnie I do remember the Rebstock Theatre but I don't recall The Star Theatre. Is that the same theatre with a different name or what ?? Rattle my brain girl. PATOOSE, man it's funny how one man could put the fear of God in so many young children. (LOL,LOL) And I surely remember filling up the trunk. That happened more times than not. (Ha,Ha,LOL,LOL) And we thought we had them all fooled, like they didn't know what was going on. The drive inn was just as much of a hang out as it was to watch movies especially on Sunday afternoon. Memories, it's all good.

Later ya'll, I have to go to Lil Bits World.

SHE USE TO COME OUT TO YOUR CARD, TAKE YOUR ORDER, AND BRING IT OUT TO YOU WHEN YOU WERE DONE. THE REX WAS A GREAT HANGOUT. REMEMBER THE NIGHT BEFORE CJ AND I GOT MARRIED WE ALL HUNG OUT AT THE REX.

NOW, PETE, I WOULD LIKE YOU TO TRY AND REMEMBER THIS: CHOUEST DRUG STORE, WE USE TO GO AND HAVE SOMETHING SPECIAL IN THE FORM OF ICE CREAM. CAN'T REMEMBER WHAT IT WAS CALLED OR WHAT WAS IN IT. IT WAS SOMETHING JOANNE DANTIN AND DELENA ADAMS (EMPLOYEES) WOULD WHIP US FOR US. MAN I'LL TRY TO REMEMBER!!
