Peter you asked for a fish recipe and I have to tell you this is one of the best I have, yet I can't take the credit for it. Remember our old principal, Mr. Steve Stall? His wife was Ms. Juanita and she taught home-ec? Well, this is their recipe... TROUT STEVE
6 TROUT OR REDFISH FILETS SALT AND PEPPER TO TASTE 1/2 CUP BUTTER 3 CLOVES GARLIC, MINCED 1-1/2 TABLESPOONS WORCESTERSHIRE SAUCE 1/2 CUP ITALIAN BREAD CRUMBS 1/2 CUP RED WINE 6 SLICES LEMON
SEASON FISH WITH S AND P. MELT BUTTER, ADD GARLIC AND W. SAUCE DIP FILETS IN BUTTER MIXTURE AND LAY IN A 9X13 INCH BAKING PAN. BAKE AT 400 DEGREES FOR 20 MINUTES. REMOVE FROM OVEN. SPRINKLE FISH WITH BREAD CRUMBS, GARNISH WITH LEMON AND ADD WINE. TURN OVEN TO BROIL AND RETURN FISH TO OVEN. BROIL UNTIL BROWN AND CRISPY. DIP FRENCH BREAD INTO SAUCE.
Boy I like this recipe. I'm going to try it. Except I don't have an oven so I'm going to try this on my gas grill. Should be good. Do you know of a fish or seafood marinade? Something I can marinade fish in so it does not have such a strong fish flavor. I know this sounds strange but the fish I want to cook is very strong. Like Garfish or catfish. I like the taste of salt water fish but fresh water fish is different. I just find the flovor over powering. Thanks for the recipe. Now I have to go to the store and get the stuff to try. Let ya'll know how it turns out. Later, Peter
The fish S_ _ KED. We had to throgh it away. We couldn't eat it. But I don't think it was the reciep but the type of fish I used. Gar Steakes. I will try it again when I get some good trout or red fish. Don't be discouraged. Send me more recipes if you have any. Also I didn't cook it on the grill like I should have. I cooked it A-LA MICROWAVE/CONVECTION OVEN. Which is a lot different from a regular oven. I have to keep trying till I get it right. Thanks for sending it.
Celena, there's that phone number again. You must explain. Is it that you want me to call you or what ?? Or is that a number I can get some recipes from ?? If you know for sure you weren't hit in the head with a car part from that last crash at Talledago, maybe you inhaled too many exhust fumes. (LOL)
DDDUUUUU???? Of course it's for the Pizza Hut!!! My recipe is the Pizza Hut!!! I am quickly convincing myself that I'm the only smart one here!!! You see, I always approach these blogs BACKWARDS, in date order, but you all are, evidently, reading them FRONTWARDS so you're getting the tailend of my blogs. Now, if you're not thoroughly confused by now, then I take back my statement of me being the only smart one.. ;-)
